Villa Somoya is Virgin Gorda’s newest luxury villa. Construction of this 4500 square foot home was completed in August 2014.

This 3-bedroom / 3 bathroom home sits on a hilltop ridge and features spectacular views. From the home’s elevated setting guests can see up to 19 U.S and British Virgin Islands in a stunning panorama of blue seas and rock formations. Thoughtfully designed to coexist with Virgin Gorda’s natural setting, Villa Somoya is nestled among giant granite boulders that reveal the island’s volcanic origins. The property’s indigenous trees and rock formations have been preserved and further enhanced with landscaped gardens. The villa’s setting makes it hard to tell where nature ends and Villa Somoya begins.

Centrally located in a private and exclusive residential area, Villa Somoya is 5 minutes drive from a dozen restaurants, half-dozen grocery stores, and the island’s best beaches including Little Trunk Bay, Spring Bay, and The Baths. The location is ideal!

DESCRIPTION

Villa Somoya is made up of two buildings surrounded by expansive outdoor decks and covered terraces. The use of exotic woods and the inclusion of high-end fixtures and appliances give this home a sophisticated and upscale vibe. The villa’s furnishings are the perfect blend of classic design with Caribbean accents. A number of spectacular design features make Villa Somoya a great home for gathering with family and friends. The villa’s well-equipped and modern kitchen features a large breakfast bar that opens to a covered terrace. Also on the terrace you will find the villa’s outdoor kitchen with a built in gas grill and mini-fridge. Completing this space, a large dining table makes it easy for guests to enjoy alfresco dining. The villa’s bedroom suites are spacious, air conditioned, and designed for comfort. Each bedroom is equipped with a private bathroom. The villa’s master suite features a private patio that overlooks the property and has views to Tortola and beyond.

OUTDOOR SPACES

With out a doubt, guests of Villa Somoya are going to enjoy this home’s outdoor spaces. The large covered terrace features a wide variety of seating options and provides plenty of shade from the sun. The terrace also features a Bose audio sound system and a motorized mirrored disco ball that transforms the space when the sun goes down. In front of the covered patio is a deck lined with lounge chairs. Guests looking to work on their tan can do so while enjoying panoramic water views. Between the villa’s guest bedrooms, a wooden deck is home to one of the property’s most spectacular vistas. This natural breezeway is a great spot for soaking in the views.

BEDROOMS

Villa Somoya’s 3-bedroom can sleep up to 6 adults. The Master Suite and one of the guest bedrooms both feature King sized beds. The third bedroom features two Queen sized beds. Larger groups, up to 8 guests, can also be accommodated. For example, 4 adults can sleep in the villa’s two King sized beds and up to 4 children can sleep in the villa’s two Queen beds. Alternatively, supplemental bedding including a pull out couch in the great room as well as two portable Twin mattresses, give guests additional flexibility when it comes to sleeping arrangements. For families with babies or toddlers a pack n’ play and a crib are also available. In certain situations we are willing to consider groups larger than 8 people. Accommodation Tax - 10.00%
Cancellation Policy
There is no refund during the HOLIDAY SEASON (December 15 – January 4) or HIGH SEASON (January 5 – April 30) unless the property can be rebooked for the same rate and time. If the property is re-booked, 80% of the payment made will be refunded. During LOW-SEASON, (May 1 – December 14) if more than 45 day’s notice is provided, 75% of payments made will be refunded. If cancellations are made with less than 45 day’s notice, no payment is refunded. We strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance to cover your costs in the event you are forced to cancel.

Deposit Policy
VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA requires that 50% of the rent is due at the time you secure your reservation. The balance of the rent is due no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. No-shows, late arrivals, change in number of persons, and early departures after arrival are non-refundable. (See hurricane policy, below.) No refunds will be granted unless there is a problem that cannot be cured within 48 hours, or which causes the Guest extreme and undue discomfort or serious inconvenience. Guests who abandon their villa without authority agree they have no rights to compensation. Prices at all villas are subject to change. No rebates or increases in pricing will be made once the Guest’s deposit payment has been submitted.

HURRICANE POLICY:
In the event of a pending hurricane, all guests MUST vacate their villa when instructed to do so by VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA staff. Guests will only be asked to vacate the property if local officials have deemed it unsafe. If guests are asked to vacate the property; any unused rent will be refunded. If the guests leave on their own volition, no refund of any sort will be given. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to incur any travel related expenses associated with an early departure from the villa whether they leave on their own accord or if asked to do so by the staff of VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA.
