There is definitely a reason the North Sound of Virgin Gorda is called “The Billionaire’s Playground”. We regularly see mega yachts like Flying Fox and Artefact in the waters off Virgin Gorda. Each March, Virgin Gorda hosts our annual regatta and we see many more of the world’s finest and most expensive floating toys.
Let’s Talk About Mother Nature
Welcome to Virgin Gorda! It is a tropical island paradise and that means Mother Nature is in full swing and everywhere. We have very diverse flora and fauna. Our Dry Caribbean Forest is full of turpentine trees, wild frangipani, tyre palm (the only native palm tree), century plants, turk’s head cacti, and dog caper to name a few. After a good period of rain, the island is lush and green and the flowering plants thrive. We’ve never had a complaint about our flora. The fauna, on the other hand, can be a topic of much discussion. In particular, the mosquitoes.

Wonderful 5 night staycation at Christiana Villa. We didn’t want to come home. The villa was immaculately clean. Very comfortable beds and beautiful soft sheets. The pool was a perfect size and we happily spent our time at the villa relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped. Stunning local walks. Excellent restaurants nearby. We will definitely be returning to Christiana Villa.
We rented waters edge villa it is truly magnificent from the moment you walk through the front door the view will take your breath away ! Being able to walk to The Baths every day was a plus! The two master suites are huge and spectacular we spent 12 nights here and will definitely be back!
The location was perfect, and the villa was well-appointed and beautiful. The folks at Villas Virgin Gorda were very accommodating and responsive to all of our needs, starting with a welcome basket upon arrival with our favorite champagne. They arranged everything we needed including our departure covid tests. I would highly recommend Bayhouse to anyone traveling to VG!
The BVI is open and beautiful. We stayed at the Calypso Villa a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! We loved the outdoor living this villa offers. It has beautiful views, beautiful gardens and so much more. It is even better than the pictures. Christi is a great property manager/ hostess. She gave great recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of. If you stay at Calypso may I suggest a massage/couples massage on the master bedroom balcony/porch. Also, one of the best recommendations Christi gave was a visit to Oil Nut Bay. We spent all day there enjoying the beach, lunch, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. One thing to bring… ear plugs just in case you have a 4 O’clock rooster.
