Villa Somoya sits at the highest point in the Valley area of Virgin Gorda allowing for an amazing 360-degree view of the entire island and surrounding islands of BVI and USVI.
Villa Somoya is one of Virgin Gorda’s premier luxury villas. Construction of this 4500 square foot home was completed in 2014 and newly renovated in 2019!
This 3-bedroom / 3-bathroom home sits on a hilltop ridge and features spectacular views. From the home’s elevated setting guests can see up to 19 U.S. and British Virgin Islands in a stunning panorama of blue seas and rock formations. Thoughtfully designed to coexist with Virgin Gorda’s natural setting, Villa Somoya is nestled among giant granite boulders that reveal the island’s volcanic origins. The property’s indigenous trees and rock formations have been preserved and further enhanced with landscaped gardens. The villa’s setting makes it hard to tell where nature ends and Villa Somoya begins.
Centrally located in a private and exclusive residential area, Villa Somoya is a 5-minute drive from a dozen restaurants, a half-dozen grocery stores, and the island’s best beaches including Little Trunk Bay, Spring Bay, and The Baths. The location is ideal!
DESCRIPTION
Villa Somoya is made up of two buildings surrounded by expansive outdoor decks and covered terraces. The use of exotic woods and the inclusion of high-end fixtures and appliances give this home a sophisticated and upscale vibe. The villa’s furnishings are the perfect blend of classic design with Caribbean accents. A number of spectacular design features make Villa Somoya a great home for gathering with family and friends. The villa’s well-equipped and modern kitchen features a large breakfast bar that opens to a covered terrace. Also on the terrace, you will find the villa’s outdoor kitchen with a built-in gas grill and mini-fridge. Completing this space, a large dining table makes it easy for guests to enjoy alfresco dining. The villa’s bedroom suites are spacious, air-conditioned, and designed for comfort. Each bedroom is equipped with a private bathroom and is fully Air Conditioned. The villa’s master suite features a private patio that overlooks the property and has views of Tortola and beyond.
OUTDOOR SPACES
Without a doubt, guests of Villa Somoya are going to enjoy this home’s outdoor spaces. The large covered terrace features a wide variety of seating options and provides plenty of shade from the sun. The terrace also features a Bose audio sound system and a motorized mirrored disco ball that transforms the space when the sun goes down. In front of the covered patio is a deck lined with lounge chairs. Guests looking to work on their tan can do so while enjoying panoramic water views and pool and deck area. Between the villa’s guest bedrooms, a wooden deck is home to one of the property’s most spectacular vistas. This natural breezeway is a great spot for soaking in the views.
BEDROOMS
Villa Somoya’s 3-bedroom can sleep up to 8 adults. The Master Suite and one of the guest bedrooms both feature king-sized beds. The third bedroom features two queen-sized beds. Larger groups, up to 8 guests, can also be accommodated. For example, 4 adults can sleep in the villa’s two king-sized beds and up to 4 children can sleep in the villa’s two Queen beds. Alternatively, supplemental bedding including a pull-out couch in the great room as well as two portable Twin mattresses, give guests additional flexibility when it comes to sleeping arrangements. For families with babies or toddlers, a pack n’ play and a crib are also available. In certain situations, we are willing to consider groups larger than 8 people. Please let us know the make-up of your party and we will help you determine if Villa Somoya is a good fit.
AMENITIES
Villa Somoya was thoughtfully furnished and equipped to anticipate the needs of our guests. Amenities include wireless Internet, Housekeeping Staff, flat-screen satellite TV, iPod docking station, Egyptian cotton linens, hair dryers, beach chairs, beach umbrella, pack-n-play, high chair, gas BBQ grill, ceiling fans throughout, books, games, and laundry room.
During the Low and High seasons, there is a 5-night minimum stay required. During the Holiday season, there is a 10-night minimum stay required.
Rates are based on an occupancy of 2. During High and Low season, an additional guest charge per guest is applied for guests 3 - 8.
There is also a $500 refundable damage deposit.

Cancellation Policy
Travelers who cancel during the HOLIDAY SEASON (December 15 – January 5) will not receive any refunds.
90 or more day’s notice provided, 75% of payments made will be refunded.
46-89 days notice provided, 50% of payments made will be refunded.
45 days or less notice, no payment will be refunded.
There will be no refunds for late arrivals or premature departures.

Deposit Policy
VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA requires that 50% of the rent is due at the time you secure your reservation. The balance of the rent is due no later than 45 days prior to your arrival. No-shows, late arrivals, change in number of persons, and early departures after arrival are non-refundable. (See hurricane policy, below.) No refunds will be granted unless there is a problem that cannot be cured within 48 hours, or which causes the Guest extreme and undue discomfort or serious inconvenience. Guests who abandon their villa without authority agree they have no rights to compensation. Prices at all villas are subject to change. No rebates or increases in pricing will be made once the Guest’s deposit payment has been submitted.
HURRICANE POLICY:
In the event of a pending hurricane, all guests MUST vacate their villa when instructed to do so by VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA staff. Guests will only be asked to vacate the property if local officials have deemed it unsafe. If guests are asked to vacate the property; any unused rent will be refunded. If the guests leave on their own volition, no refund of any sort will be given. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to incur any travel related expenses associated with an early departure from the villa whether they leave on their own accord or if asked to do so by the staff of VILLAS VIRGIN GORDA.

"Excellent. We had a great time and loved the island."
We loved our stay at Villa Somoya. The villa is very well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and more. There were beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and floats for the pool. The TV allowed us to keep up to date on the NCAA basketball tournament games. The outdoor shower and pool were both refreshing.
Villas Virgin Gorda was excellent to work with. Michelle was super responsive and quickly answered any questions I had about our stay. Prior to arriving she gave me tons of great information about restaurants and activities.
The Villa is amazing! Pictures don't do justice to the incredible view. We would make our coffee in the morning and just stare out over the water - breath taking. The villa is very well stocked and just beautiful.

This villa really was stunning. Our family had a wonderful time. The location is great. It's close to the baths and great beaches. The villa was really comfortable and spacious. Kids loved the pool. The host was super communicative and helped us arrange groceries and transportation to and from the island as well as gave recommendations for a boat charter and a private dinner prepared at the house. We really couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend!

"Best Thanksgiving Dinner View Ever"
Spent Thanksgiving 2019 there. Perfect weather, quiet and secluded beach nearby, world famous rock climb and swim at the Baths, restaurants so good you’d never expect them on the restful island of Virgin Gorda, and every type of Caribbean water activity you can imagine. Villa Somoya itself was thoughtfully designed and decorated with amenities galore. Favorites were the private outdoor shower nestled in the large rock formation atop the mountain, the newly installed pool, and the sitting area in a breezeway overlooking Sir Francis Drakes Channel and the Caribbean Sea. After cooking a turkey for our festive holiday meal, we voted it Best Thanksgiving Dinner View ever.
