UPDATE 22/10/2017 – Progress is being made every day on Virgin Gorda!

It has been about a month and a half since Virgin Gorda was devastated by Irma.  In the time since, a lot of progress has been made to normalize day to day life.  Grocery stores are open and stocked, hardware stores are open, and a few restaurants have reopened.  Power and communications remain the biggest hurdle.  There is a small area in the Central Valley where power has been restored.  Cell phone service is available in some areas, but Internet is still down for much of the island.  The best news is that leaves and flowers are beginning to return and reports of the status of the reefs so far have been very good.  Slowly and then suddenly, Virgin Gorda will be back! With our office being destroyed, Villas Virgin Gorda is still unable to process refunds, but we are estimating that we will have capabilities again in about 1 – 2 weeks.  We are so grateful for your patience and support as we work toward getting fully back up and running.

Update for guests with reservations

For now, if you have a reservation with us, please be patient - we are getting to your emails as fast as possible. Villas Virgin Gorda is beginning the process of assessing the damage to our properties and the island caused by the devastating hurricanes Irma and Maria. Please follow our Facebook page to receive updated information about our team, business, community and how you can help. Please be patient as communications are difficult at this time and messages will be returned as soon as possible. If you have a reservation and would like a refund please let us know by email and we will be in contact soon with additional details. Please know that we will ensure you receive your refund as soon as we can get our systems online. Many people have asked if we will be able to honour the reservations for the upcoming year and in some cases we will be able to depending on the the degree of damage at each villa. Irma Update from Villas Virgin Gorda

We are still in the process of evaluating the situation in Virgin Gorda and the state of each villa.  Since Hurricane Irma went through BVI, communication has been severely compromised from Virgin Gorda.  The island is still without power and cell service and only has spotty internet service 7 days after the storm.  From pictures we have seen and reports coming out on Facebook, there is severe damage to the island and incoming travel is currently restricted to humanitarian efforts.  We have seen a few of our villas in pictures and we are encouraged to see some that appear to have weathered the storm very well, but we will not have a full report until communications with the island are reestablished.  As soon as we have more concrete information to provide, we will begin contacting guests with upcoming reservations.  In the meantime, please consider making a donation to the British Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org.uk/Donate-Now or to Relief Efforts for Virgin Gorda at www.youcaring.com/virgingordacommunity-940410 or BVI Community Support supported by Virgin Unite at https://www.virgin.com/unite/bvi-community-support-appeal.  Virgin Gorda will need a tremendous amount of support to rebound from Irma, even a small donation will go a long way!  Please keep our beautiful island and her people in your thoughts and prayers!
